Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has become such an innate part of my life so quickly I don’t even remember my how my life was before it. I am a student intern at the Department of Defense and I am a Criminal Justice major at AAAC. I am also currently a Blue Belt in Jiu Jitsu and I train everyday.
I didn’t have any martial arts experience before starting jiu jitsu – I ran in High School. I started training because I really wanted to learn how to defend myself. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the most legit martial art out there and I am very glad to have walked into Crazy 88. I have developed a lot of friendships through training here.
In May, I traveled to Brazil for the Brasileiro’s and it was eye-opening. It’s a different world down there. It was my first experience at an International tournament and it broke the ice for competing at that level. I am not nervous about going to the Worlds or really competing at all anymore.
I would recommend training here for anyone who wants to challenge themselves mentally and physically.
