I began training due to an interest in the techniques. I’ve always enjoyed boxing but when you see someone get punched in the face you’re not exactly perplexed as to why that technique works. In Jiu-Jitsu I always enjoyed seeing someone in a seemingly vulnerable position being able to adapt to the situation and turn the tables with a simple and well timed explosive effort and technique. My experiences have all been great and include: getting to learn first hand from a world renown Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, seeing a vast improvement in my endurance, and being able to feel and see the improvements in my techniques throughout training sessions. My short term goal is to obtain a blue belt while the long term goal is to obtain a second degree black belt so obviously I have a long way to go to reach those goals but with Crazy 88‘s guidance and each day of training I feel more and more confident that they are both possible.
