Jason had been training at Crazy 88 for about 18 months at the time of the gym review above. Jason is retired military and has some wrestling experience, both as a wrestler and as an assistant kids coach. Jason was presented with Crazy 88′s 2009 Student of the Year award for his no-excuses mentality and his obvious dedication to his family and his children. His commitment to the team is also notable; Jason has shown up multiple times to our 3 AM White Belt Competition Team Tryouts to help out despite working normal hours and already having made the Competition Team.
Jason might be part of Crazy 88′s first and (at the time of this writing) only Father-Son competition duo. He and his kids both compete regularly in grappling tournaments and do quite well.
He has had a few of his children participate in the program (they are a very athletic family) and they love complementing their wrestling with the Children’s Martial Arts Program. Currently, his son Jaron is a regular student in the Juniors Program which is intended for ages 11-14.
