Sonny serves in the US Military and became interested in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu after being exposed to Modern Army Combatives, the martial arts system used by the Army that is based on Jiu Jitsu. Looking to get more indepth training in submission grappling than what the Army teaches, Sonny and his brother joined Crazy 88. After a year and a half, Sonny has competed in multiple Jiu-Jitsu competitions, winning most of them, and has earned his Blue Belt. Despite working at strange hours, Sonny always finds a way a train and you can often his children, playing in the lobby area.
